I. Registration Guidelines

1. Registration Method:

Online registration must be completed on-site via the Taoyuan Citizen Card App.

Participants must download and log in to the “Taoyuan Citizen Card App” (non-Taoyuan citizens can register as a Basic Member to log in). During the registration window, navigate to the “Taoyuan Events” (桃園活動) section in the App and search for the event page to register.

2. Registration Steps:

Open the Taoyuan Citizen Card App ➔ Go to “Citizen Life” (市民生活) ➔ Select “Taoyuan Events” (桃園活動) ➔ Select “2026 Taoyuan Halloween City: Spook the Whole Town – Ghost King Costume Contest” ➔ Choose your category/session and submit your registration details.

3. Categories & Quotas:

Individual Category: Solo entry. Each participant must be fully costumed according to the theme.

Quota: 20 confirmed entries, 5 waitlist entries.
Group Category: Minimum 2 people, maximum 5 people per group. Every member must be fully costumed according to the theme.

Quota: 20 confirmed groups, 5 waitlist groups.
Pet Category: Must include at least one pet (any pet type allowed, not limited to cats or dogs). Participating pets must be fully costumed according to the theme.

Quota: 20 confirmed groups, 5 waitlist groups.

4. Registration Period:

Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (or until capacity is reached). Confirmed and waitlist spots will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis according to registration timestamps.

5. Eligibility:

Costumes must adhere to the “Halloween Costume” theme. Any character or costume concept related to the theme is welcome, with no genre restrictions.

6. Important Note:

Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

II. Competition Schedule & Information

1. Check-in for Confirmed Participants:

14:00 – 15:30

(Failure to check in before 15:30 will result in automatic forfeiture of your confirmed entry).

2. Check-in for Waitlisted Participants:

15:30 – 16:30

(Failure to check in before 16:30 will result in automatic forfeiture of your waitlist eligibility).

📢 Check-in Notice: Waitlisted entries will only be admitted if confirmed entries fail to check in on time. If all confirmed participants check in successfully, waitlisted entries will not be called.

3. Participant Assembly Time:

16:30 – 16:45

📍 Check-in & Assembly Location:

The tent to the right-hand side of the Main Stage (Ghost King Costume Contest Check-in Tent).

(During assembly, look for staff holding the “Assembly Point” sign. Staff will guide participants to the stage staging area).

4. Stage Runway Walk:

Each participant/group will have 30 seconds for their runway walk. Background music is provided exclusively by the organizer. Anyone failing to take the runway walk will be considered to have forfeited the competition.

5. Judging, Public Voting & Award Ceremony:

After the runway walk, participants must remain on-site for voting, winner announcements, and the award presentation. When winners are announced, anyone who does not respond after their name has been called three times will forfeit their prize.

III. Prize Money

Individual Category:
- 1st Place (Champion): NT$5,000
- 2nd Place: NT$3,000
- 3rd Place: NT$2,000
Group Category:
- 1st Place (Champion): NT$8,000
- 2nd Place: NT$5,000
- 3rd Place: NT$3,000
Pet Category:
- 1st Place (Champion): NT$5,000
- 2nd Place: NT$3,000
- 3rd Place: NT$2,000

IV. Additional Regulations

Prize recipients must complete a Service Remuneration Receipt (勞務報酬單) for tax declaration purposes and provide photocopies of the front and back of their ID card/ARC. Refusal to complete this paperwork will result in forfeiture of the prize.

(If the winner is under 20 years of age, legal guardian information must be provided on the receipt).
The organizer reserves the right to amend, change, or terminate event details and awards at any time.
